Job summary

The Imperial Court invites qualified candidates to join our interpreting team as a Certified Court Interpreter in California. Under supervision, provide verbal interpretation and sight translation for courtroom participants, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Requirements include valid Court Interpreter Certification from the Judicial Council of California, a valid California drivers license, and ability to travel to branch courts. Biweekly pay; health and retirement benefits available.

Qualifications

• Must hold California Court Interpreter Certification.
• Valid California Class C drivers license and ability to maintain insurability.
• Excellent reading/writing of English and second language and knowledge of legal procedures.

Responsibilities

• Interpret verbal court proceedings for defendants, judges, counsel and witnesses.
• Provide sight translation of reports and legal documents as required.
