Job summary

Washington County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Lateral Certified Corrections Deputy to join the jail operations team in Utah. The role covers safety, supervision, booking, release, and inmate programs with shift work including nights, holidays, and weekends.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of POST-certified BCO experience, a valid Utah Driver's License, and is eligible to pursue Utah POST BCO certification if coming from out of state. Applications are submitted online.

Qualifications

• Graduation from High School or GED.
• Valid Utah Driver's License.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• At least 1 year of corrections officer experience as a Utah POST-certified BCO.
• Out of State POST BCOs encouraged to apply but must obtain Utah POST certification.
• Must successfully complete all stages of the Washington County Sheriff's Office testing process.
