Job summary

You will weigh, measure, mix, package, and label capsules, creams, ointments, suspensions, solutions, and suppositories while maintaining rigorous quality assurance, accurate records, and compliance with USP compounding standards and New York state requirements.

Qualifications

• Be responsible for compounding medications per prescriptions and master formulations.
• Maintain records, weigh, measure, mix, package, and track beyond-use dates.
• Follow USP compounding standards and NY state requirements; adhere to QA procedures.
• Assist pharmacists and participate in staff meetings, training, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customized medications per prescriptions and master formulations.
• Weigh, measure, mix, package, and label compounded preparations.
• Verify formulas, ingredients, calculations, packaging, labeling, and beyond-use dates.
• Maintain compounding records, inventory logs, and environmental monitoring documentation.
• Assist pharmacists with workflow and labeling.
• Participate in staff meetings, safety meetings, and annual training.
• Protect patient information and HIPAA compliance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
