ISC Manufacturing LLC in Burleson, TX is seeking an experienced welder to fabricate tank shells, nozzles, chutes, and conveyor components per WPS and drawings. You’ll perform GTAW root passes and FCAW fill/cap on P-1 carbon steel, read weld symbols, and fit up your own work while meeting QC requirements.

You must maintain current WPQ qualifications, pass an on-site weld test, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs in a shop environment. Steady work on multiple active projects is offered.

Competenze

• 2+ years of fabrication welding experience, ideally on tanks, pressure-related equipment, or heavy plate.
• Current ASME Section IX WPQ in GTAW and/or FCAW on P-1 carbon steel.
• GTAW root plus FCAW fill combo test preferred.
• Documented use of each process within the last 6 months to keep qualification active.
• Ability to pass an on-site weld test.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment.

What You’ll Do

• Weld tank shells, nozzles, chutes, conveyor assemblies, and structural components to approved procedures (WPS) and drawings
• Run GTAW (TIG) root passes and semi-automatic gas-shielded FCAW (E71T-1) fill and cap passes on P-1 carbon steel up to 3/4\"
• Read shop drawings and weld symbols, and fit up your own work
• Work to QC requirements, including weld inspection and customer witness points
• Keep your welder qualifications current

What You Need

• 2+ years of fabrication welding experience, ideally on tanks, pressure-related equipment, or heavy plate
• Current ASME Section IX welder performance qualification (WPQ) in GTAW and/or FCAW on P-1 carbon steel. A GTAW root plus FCAW fill combo test, open root and uphill, in 3G and 4G (or 6G pipe), is preferred
• Documented use of each process within the last 6 months, which ASME IX requires to keep a qualification active
• Ability to pass an on-site weld test
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (confirm your number) and work in a shop environment

Nice to have

• Qualification in GMAW (short-circuit, spray, or pulse)
• AWS D1.1 structural qualification
• Small-diameter pipe or nozzle groove welding experience (under 2-7/8\" OD)
• Experience fitting up from shop drawings
