Job summary

Remotebridge seeks Certified Coding Specialists (CCS) on a remote contractor basis in the United States to enhance coding accuracy and data quality. You will review both inpatient and AI-generated notes, ensuring ICD-10 and CPT coding aligns with current guidelines and best practices.

You will contribute to training AI systems by providing high-quality real-world input and resolving discrepancies to maintain data integrity across records.

Qualifications

• Active certification in CCS, CIC, COC, RHIA or RHIT (AHIMA or AAPC).
• Experience with ICD-10 coding.
• Access to up-to-date ICD-10 and CPT references.
• Currently working in medical coding or related role.
• Availability of at least 10 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient records for accurate ICD-10 and CPT coding per guidelines.
• Review clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Evaluate AI-generated notes against standards.
• Code AI-generated information using ICD and CPT/HCPCS.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in coding to ensure data integrity.
• Enter AI-derived patient data into inpatient/outpatient records.

Our team is engaging Certified Coding Specialists to contribute to a valued project focused on enhancing clinical coding accuracy and data quality. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input.

Scope of Work

• Review and analyze inpatient medical records to ensure accurate ICD-10 and CPT coding in alignment with current guidelines and best practices.
• Review clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and coding integrity.
• Evaluate AI-generated clinical notes and summaries against real-world documentation and coding standards.
• Code AI-generated diagnostic and procedural information from the record using ICD and CPT/HCPCS classification systems.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in diagnosis and procedure coding, ensuring the integrity of record abstraction and data capture.
• Enter AI-generated patient information into computerized inpatient and outpatient medical record databases.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active certification in one of the following: CCS, CIC, COC, RHIA, or RHIT or other coding certification through AHIMA and AAPC.
• ICD-10 coding experience.
• Access to up-to-date official ICD-10 and CPT coding books, as well as E&M guidelines.
• Currently working in medical coding, clinical documentation improvement, or a closely related documentation role
• Availability of at least 10 hours per week
