Job description

Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth hasSeasonal Opportunities for PSU Days RNs - $70/hr

Requirements: Minimum 36 hrs/wk or 72 hrs/pay cycle. Must cover at least one major holiday in 3-month time frame. Hours will be worked on day shift If all requirements are met (including no attendance violations) $1,000 bonus will be paid. May convert to traditional PRN status and adjusted pay rate after seasonal period ends.

The PSU Nurse has the responsibility to provide all nursing care services for the post surgical patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care. He/She ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care, maintains compliance with professional nursing, JCAHO, and all Federal and State standards of care. The RN cares for ages 16 years to geriatric. This position is assigned to respond to patients presenting to the facility Emergency Department with a healthcare need and providing the Medical Screening Exam as delegated by the Medical Executive Committee. Other duties as required by Management.

Required Skills

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years current acute care experience as an RN in hospital Medical/Surgery or ICU unit
  • Orthopedic/spinal patient experience, preferred
