Coryell Health in Gatesville, TX is seeking a Certified Central Sterile Technician to ensure the cleanliness and safety of surgical instruments and medical equipment. You will play a vital role in patient care and the facility's success, maintaining high standards in sterilization and readiness for procedures.

You will work with a collaborative team, set up sterilizers, decontaminate, package, document processes, and help manage sterile supplies inventory.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CRCST Central Sterilization training program.
• Minimum 12 months of work experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and steam sterilizers.
• Prepare and clean surgical instruments and equipment for procedures.
• Decontaminate used instruments before sterilization according to established protocols.
• Inspect and package instruments and supplies for sterilization.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of sterile supplies and assist in reordering as needed.
• Assist in training and orienting new staff members on sterilization procedures and guidelines.
