Location: 9100 W 74TH ST, Shawnee Mission, 66204

Role Responsibilities

The Central Processor supports the hospital by decontaminating and sterilizing instrumentation and equipment used in patient care. Cross-training allows the role to encompass all responsibilities within the Central Processing Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble instrument trays accurately
• Sterilize instruments
• Return sterile instruments to proper locations
• Stock patient care equipment
• Identify instruments correctly

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Ability to identify instruments accurately
• Operate Steam Sterilizers and Washer Disinfectors
• Read and document Biological results correctly
• Properly clean patient care equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years related experience
• Junior college or Technical School education
• Certification through IAHCSMM or CBSPD (within 1 year of employment)
• BCLS certification through the American Heart Association
