Job summary

Avista Senior Living in Sun City West, AZ is seeking Certified Caregivers to join our team. We offer a $500 sign-on bonus paid after 90 days. You will provide daily living assistance with compassion and professionalism, following resident service plans and safety protocols.

Responsibilities include responding to resident needs, documenting care, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Training is available for qualified candidates; CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• AZ Caregivers Certificate required.
• Previous experience is a plus, but training is provided.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong communication and people skills are essential.
• Reliable, positive attitude and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Read and implement care plans for residents (ADLs).
• Respond to resident needs and alarms promptly.
• Demonstrates empathy and promotes independence.
• Deliver care per individual service plan.
• Maintain accurate care records and report incidents promptly.
• Support housekeeping and maintenance to keep environment clean and safe.
• Identify and report safety concerns in residents' environments.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Read and implement care/activities of daily living (ADLs) according to the resident service plans
• Respond to resident needs, pendant calls, and other community alarms in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates empathy and develops caring rapport with residents. Promotes resident independence and self-care.
• Delivers care and services in accordance with individual service plan for all assigned residents.
• Maintains accurate and complete records of care delivered.
• Completes incident reports accurately and timely. Understands policies pertaining to safety and infection control and demonstrates practices to control the spread of communicable illnesses. Promotes a clean, orderly, and safe environment. Assist housekeeping and maintenance staff to keep the community and resident property clean.
• Recognizes, responds to, and reports concerns in resident's environment to ensure safety and comfort of resident.

• Valid AZ Caregivers Certificate
• Previous experience as a personal care assistant is a plus, but not needed as we are willing to train
