Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities, LLC is seeking a Certified Caregiver for Memory Care on a part-time schedule in Gilbert, AZ. You will assist residents with daily living activities, transport within the community, and respond to needs and emergencies with compassion.

The ideal candidate holds a valid Arizona Caregiver Certificate, a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and experience caring for the elderly.

Qualifications

• Valid Arizona Caregiver Certificate required.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• All state educational requirements must be met.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience with elderly care preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with assistance in activities of daily living (grooming, bathing, environment).
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, requests, and hazards promptly and safely.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans and obtain vital signs.

Schedule: Part Time: Friday & Saturday, 6am-2pm

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

• Providing residents with assistance in the activities of daily living such as grooming, bathing and maintaining their personal environment.


• Transporting residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.


• Responding to emergency calls, resident and/or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.


• Reviewing and adhering to resident care plans as well as obtaining vital signs.

To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences and skills.

• A valid Arizona Caregiver Certificate is required.


• High School diploma or equivalent is required.


• All state educational requirements for the position must be met.


• CPR certification.


• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred.


• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.


• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
