Saint Mary’s Health Network, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Certified Cardiovascular Sonographer to join our Reno, NV team. You will perform cardiac and vascular ultrasound studies, assist physicians, and document findings in PACS.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited echocardiography or vascular ultrasound program required.
• Associates degree in ultrasound preferred.
• ARDMS or CCI registry required within 12 months.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Visualize cardiac structures using ultrasound and obtain measurements of valves, ventricles, and atria.
• Evaluate hemodynamics of cardiac structures and perform vascular ultrasound procedures.
• Assist the physician with complex ultrasound procedures; perform exams per lab protocol and document in PACS.
• Promote smooth operation of the Cardiovascular Ultrasound Department through clerical functions and data management.
• Adhere to accreditation and governing body requirements (ICAEL, ICAVL, JCAHO, federal/state).
