Job summary

Jr. Davis Construction Company Inc. is seeking a Hydraulic Crane Operator in Kissimmee, FL or surrounding area.

You will operate cranes and related lifting equipment to move loads and assist with construction projects. A valid crane operator certification and a minimum of 3 years’ experience are required, along with a strong safety mindset. You must be willing to travel, work at night and on weekends when necessary, and maintain professional conduct on site.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid/current crane operator certification.
• 3 years of experience as Hydraulic Crane Operator.
• Must have a safety-first attitude and adhere to safety procedures.
• Willing to travel and work nights and weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Determine load weights and check against lifting capacities.
• Operate cranes, cherry pickers, electromagnets, and other equipment to lift/move/place loads.
• Inspect and adjust crane mechanisms or lifting accessories to prevent malfunctions.
• Inspect cables or grappling devises for wear and replace as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This individual will be responsible for operating cranes and other moving equipment for lifting, moving, or placing loads . Responsibilities:

• Determine load weights and check them against lifting capacities
• Move levers, depress foot pedals, or turn dials to operate cranes, cherry pickers, electromagnets, or other moving equipment for lifting, moving, or placing loads.
• Inspect and adjust crane mechanisms or lifting accessories to prevent malfunctions or damage.
• Inspect cables or grappling devises for wear and install or replace cables, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Must hold a valid/current crane operator certification
• 3 recent years’ experience working as a “Hydraulic Crane Operator”
• Must have a safety first attitude. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures is required
• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.

Knowledge & Skills:

• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
• Must be able to read and interpret load weights and check them against lifting capacities to prevent overload.
• Ability to listen, follow directions, and have a willingness to continue to enhance skills.
