Ed Morse Automotive Group is seeking a Certified Automotive Service Technician to join our team in Durant, OK. The role requires diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicle systems while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of automotive service experience.
• Franchise dealership experience preferred.
• CDJR Phase 3 training completed preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean DMV record.
• Willing to submit to background check, DMV screen, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, braking, and HVAC.
• Provide labor estimates for repairs and communicate diagnostic findings to service advisors/customers.
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to customers.
• Continue learning new technical information and techniques through formal training sessions.
• Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings to guide repairs.

Ed Morse is currently seeking a Certified Automotive Service Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities

• As a Technician you will be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver.


• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards


• Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification


• Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs


• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers


• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.


• Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid driver’s license


• Minimum 5 years of experience


• Certified preferred.


• Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service


• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.


• Must be willing to submit to a background check, DMV screen, and drug screen


• Previous franchise dealership experience


• CDJR Phase 3 training completed — strongly preferred


• Technicians with advanced training from Ford, GM, Hyundai, Kia, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, or other major OEMs are encouraged to apply


• Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills


• Ability to diagnose complex drivability, electrical, engine, transmission, and HVAC concerns


• Ability to accurately document repairs and communicate diagnostic findings


• Comfortable working on both newer and late-model vehicles


• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record


• Strong attendance and dependable work ethic


• Must provide your own professional hand tools
