Job summary

Capitol Chevrolet in Austin, TX, is seeking a Service Technician to perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles. You will diagnose and repair engines, electrical systems, and other automotive components using diagnostic tools and follow manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ASE Certification required.
• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Able to learn new technology, repair and service procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C.
• Provide timely estimates of time needed for additional repairs to the Service Advisor.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
