Job summary

NovaCare Rehabilitation in Battle Creek, MI is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to support student athletes at local high schools. You will design rehabilitation programs, apply pre-game and in-practice training techniques, and coordinate emergency care as needed.

The role involves PRN scheduling with per diem hours, ongoing CEU opportunities, and access to a nationwide professional network. A BS degree and NATA-BOC certification are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree is required.
• NATA-BOC Board of Certification is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Applicable state license where required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation.
• Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to reduce risk of injury.
• Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitation techniques and record changes as indicated by athlete response.
• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support.
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company.

NovaCare Rehabilitationis seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for our student athletes! In this role, you will service contracted schools and coordinate access to additional health care for their athletes. This position will be supporting multiple high schools in the Battle Creek, MI including Lakeview High School.

Position: Certified Athletic Trainer

Location: Battle Creek, MI

Type of Employment: Per Diem/PRNSchedule: Hours Vary as needed

Compensation: $35/hr

Responsibilities

• Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation
• Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury (techniques can include taping, wrapping, bracing, proper hydration and minor wound care)
• Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record change as indicated by athlete response within limits of specified plan of care
• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete.
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.)

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree
• National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification
• CPR certification
• Applicable state license where required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree
