The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Winter Park

  • Winter Park Memorial Hospital has served the residents of Winter Park and surrounding communities for over 50 years.
  • Chartered in 1951, the hospital has grown into a 307-bed acute care facility, offering community-focused health services.
  • The hospital has expanded to include obstetrics, neonatal intensive care, cancer care, and state-of-the-art surgical, recovery, and rehabilitation services.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Certified Athletic Trainer – Outreach is a healthcare professional specializing in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of injuries and illnesses. Provides evidence-based athletic health services, develops and implements healthcare programs, and builds strategic relationships with physicians, athletic trainers, athletic directors, athletes, and parents. Fulfills staff and medical requirements for contracts or partnerships, emphasizing off-site assessments and independent action. Promotes Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation services, resolves issues affecting healthcare delivery, and may supervise other trainers, students, volunteers, and interns. Available outside normal hours as needed for athletic support. Complies with all relevant regulations and actively participates in customer service and respectful relationships.

  • Performs assessments, provides emergency care, and designs rehabilitation programs for teams or individuals. Supports multiple teams and schedules as needed, including outside of regular hours.
  • Maintains compliant medical records, adheres to regulations regarding medication management, and collaborates on policies and procedures.
  • Engages in performance improvement activities and supports quality initiatives.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
  • Active Certified Athletic Trainer license in Florida.
  • Current CPR certification.
