Select Physical Therapy is seeking a dynamic Certified Athletic Trainer to join the Athletic Department of Carlisle High School in Carlisle, PA. This 12-month, full-time position offers a collaborative Sports Medicine Team and opportunities to lead student-athlete care.

The role focuses on implementing specific rehab programs, monitoring rehab progress, and coordinating emergency care. A BS degree, NATA-BOC certification, CPR, and state licensure are required, with a preferred master's degree

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree is required.
• NATA-BOC certification is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Applicable state license where required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement athletic training programs for injured student-athletes.
• Determine need for and administer athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to reduce injury risk.
• Manage emergencies and coordinate EMS and acute care procedures.
• Promote outreach opportunities and participate in events to represent the program.

Select Physical Therapy is looking for a dynamic & passionate athletic trainer to work with the Athletic Department of Carlisle High School. This is a great opportunity to work in the highly competitive High School setting with a Sports Medicine Team that currently includes (2)Athletic Trainers, Physical Therapist and a Sports Medicine Physician to provide the resources you will need to be successful in managing care for the student-athletes. This is a 12 month position with Select Physical Therapy and no clinical time is assigned.

Location: 950 Walnut Bottom Road Suite 19 Carlisle, PA 17015

Type of Employment: Full-time

Schedule: Weekdays/Weekends, Typical High School ATC hours

Compensation: $50,000 - $75,000, annually, based on years of experience

• Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation
• Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury (techniques can include taping, wrapping, bracing, proper hydration and minor wound care)
• Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record change as indicated by athlete response within limits of specified plan of care
• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures including basic life support to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete.
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree
• National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification
• CPR certification
• Applicable state license where required
