Allmed Staffing Inc. is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer for a physician extender role in a high-volume Sports Medicine/Orthopedic practice in New Hyde Park, NY. The position is contract-to-hire with standard M-F 8-4 hours and on-site work at 2800 Marcus Ave.

The role involves rooming patients, assisting with exams and injections, patient education, and coordinating imaging, rehab, and follow-up care. Compensation is $21.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training.
• Experience in Sports Medicine, Orthopedics, or related musculoskeletal care preferred.
• Experience working with physicians or as a physician extender preferred.
• New graduates with strong clinical training and interpersonal skills may be considered.
• Experience in a fast-paced outpatient clinic is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Room patients and obtain focused musculoskeletal histories.
• Assist physician with musculoskeletal examinations and clinical assessments.
• Assist with ultrasound-guided injections, procedures, and in-office treatments.
• Provide patient education on diagnoses, treatment plans, rehabilitation, home exercises, activity modification, and injury prevention.
• Apply braces, splints, taping, and other durable medical equipment.
• Assist with rehabilitation and therapeutic exercise instruction.
• Coordinate imaging, physical therapy, referrals, and follow-up care.
• Assist with patient flow, room turnover, and other tasks that improve physician efficiency.
• Assist with EMR documentation and clinical administrative tasks as appropriate.
• Provide support for community outreach, sports coverage, and injury prevention programs as needed.
