Job summary

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Head Certified Athletic Trainer at Lackland Air Force Base, in San Antonio, TX. Monday through Friday 7:30am-4:30pm with no evenings, weekends, or holidays.

This contract position offers the chance to serve our military and contribute to a high-performing sports medicine program at a critical facility. Requirements include a CAATE‑accredited master's or a bachelor's in AT, 10+ years of musculoskeletal injury experience, 3+

Qualifications

• Master's degree from CAATE-accredited ATEP.
• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from an accredited university.
• 10+ years diagnosing, treating and preventing musculoskeletal injuries as an AT.
• 3+ years overseeing a sports medicine program with 3+ ATs or strength coaches.
• NATABOC or NATA certification.
• BLS certification by AHA or Red Cross.
• Unrestricted Texas State License.

Job Requirements

The Head Certified Athletic Trainer will have the following requirements:

• A Master's degree from a Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) accredited ATEP or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University within the field of Athletic Training
• A minimum of 10 years' experience in diagnosing, treating, and preventing musculoskeletal injuries as an AT in high school, college, professional sports setting.
• 3 or more years overseeing a sports medicine or AT program of 3 or more ATs and/or strength and conditioning coaches
• Published at least 1 peer reviewed original research article as an author/investigator
• Certified by NATABOC or NATA
• BLS by AHA or American Red Cross
• Unrestricted Texas State License
