Job summary

Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a civilian Head Certified Athletic Trainer for Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX. The role emphasizes prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries in a military setting.

Work Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:30pm with no evenings, weekends, or holidays. Requires CAATE-accredited degree, ATC credential, extensive experience, and unrestricted Texas license.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from CAATE-accredited ATEP or Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training.
• Minimum 10 years' experience diagnosing, treating, and preventing musculoskeletal injuries as an AT in high school, college, or professional sports.
• 3+ years overseeing a sports medicine or AT program with 3+ ATs and/or strength and conditioning coaches.
• Published at least 1 peer‑reviewed original research article as an author/investigator.
• NATABOC or NATA certification.
• BLS by AHA or American Red Cross.
• Unrestricted Texas State License.

Certified Athletic Trainer

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Head Certified Athletic Trainer at Lackland Air Force Base, in San Antonio, TX.

This contract position offers:

• Monday through Friday 7:30am-4:30pm
• A chance to serve our military
• No evening, weekend or holiday responsibilities

Job Requirements

• A Master's degree from a Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) accredited ATEP or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University within the field of Athletic Training
• A minimum of 10 years' experience in diagnosing, treating, and preventing musculoskeletal injuries as an AT in high school, college, professional sports setting.
• 3 or more years overseeing a sports medicine or AT program of 3 or more ATs and/or strength and conditioning coaches
• Published at least 1 peer reviewed original research article as an author/investigator
• Certified by NATABOC or NATA
• BLS by AHA or American Red Cross
• Unrestricted Texas State License
