Job description

The Certified Athletic Trainer will be responsible for the delivery of sports medicine coverage, services, and injury care at assigned high schools, colleges, universities, club sports teams, organizations, and special events.

Education
Experience

1 Year - Required

Must be able to travel with athletic teams to be available at sporting events.

License & Certification
  • National Certification - Required
  • Must be a Georgia Licensed Athletic Trainer or eligible
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required
Core Job Functions
  1. Evaluate athletes' readiness to play and provide participation clearances when applicable. Apply protective or injury preventive devices as warranted.
  2. Assess and report the progress of recovering athletes to coaches or physicians. Complete timely documentation to support skilled services delivered and billing. Conduct initial assessments of injuries to provide emergency or continued care. Effectively handle urgent/emergency situations while maintaining quality of service.
  3. Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs for athletes. Assess and report the progress of recovering athletes to coaches or physicians. Submit appropriate written reports of the patient's progress to the therapist.
