Government agency seeks a Certified ASL Interpreter to support Deaf and Hard of Hearing employees and applicants in a secure federal environment. The role requires both ASL interpreting qualifications and a Secret clearance, with duties spanning meetings, trainings, interviews, and briefings.
Interpreting will be performed onsite at the DLA Headquarters, McNamara Headquarters Complex, Fort Belvoir,VA, or other approved locations. Strict confidentiality and RID/Code of Conduct compliance apply.
Ad-hoc position. Work schedule will vary based on Government interpreting requests. Assignments may occur during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional support for meetings, trainings, interviews, briefings, special events, and other official Government activities.
The interpreter must maintain availability to support scheduled assignments and short-notice requests as required. Work may be performed onsite at the DLA Headquarters McNamara Headquarters Complex, Fort Belvoir, Virginia, or other approved locations within the designated service area.
The Certified ASL Interpreter - Secret Clearance / Specialty will provide professional American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting services in support of Deaf and Hard of Hearing employees, applicants, and customers within a secure federal government environment.
This position supports assignments requiring an interpreter who possesses both the required ASL interpreting qualifications and a minimum Secret security clearance. The interpreter will facilitate accurate communication during meetings, training sessions, interviews, briefings, and other official activities while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with Government security requirements.
The interpreter will follow professional interpreting standards, including the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Code of Professional Conduct, while ensuring reliable and accessible communication services.
