  • Strong understanding of asbestos regulations and field best practices

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with project teams

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to perform field work

Responsibilities
  • Complete and manage assigned project tasks in accordance with project schedules, deadlines, and budgets

  • Serve as a primary point of contact by communicating with clients, rail representatives, and site personnel

  • Provide on‑site project oversight and coordination for asbestos‑related activities on active rail projects

  • Conduct asbestos surveys, inspections, and sampling in compliance with California regulations

  • Perform and oversee environmental testing and monitoring, including air monitoring and asbestos sampling

  • Review, analyze, and interpret asbestos data and laboratory results

  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and regulatory deliverables

  • Ensure strict compliance with local, state, and federal asbestos regulations and client‑specific requirements

  • Maintain accurate and detailed project records and field documentation

  • Provide technical guidance and support related to asbestos safety and compliance as needed

Qualifications

  • Excellent observational, organizational, and time‑management skills.
  • Completion of an accredited asbestos training program.
  • Valid asbestos handling certification.
  • Basic knowledge of safety regulations and protocols.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel for field assignments and work in remote outdoor environments.
  • Certifications
  • Active California certification as either a CSST (Asbestos Site Surveillance Technician) or CAC (Certified Asbestos Consultant).
Travel Requirements

This position requires moderate travel, approximately up to 70% of the time with overnight stays, in support of business objectives and client engagements. Travel may be both scheduled and on short notice, depending on project needs. Destinations typically include job sites, field locations, or regional offices, where work may be conducted in outdoor or operational environments. Adherence to all company safety protocols and use of PPE is required during travel and on‑site work.
