Your Responsibilities as an Industrial Hygiene Professional:

• Conducting building inspections and investigations for asbestos and asbestos related hazards.
• Provide asbestos abatement monitoring and air testing
• Issuing detail reports in regards to all asbestos related activities on assigned projects.
• Handling a variety of tasks including environmental investigations and assessments including regulatory compliance, asbestos and lead paint inspections and remediation oversight
• Field monitoring of abatement projects in accordance with applicable federal, state and local regulations
• Technical support and report writing

What we're looking for:

• BS in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or other related field
• 5-10 years experience managing projects and report writing.
• NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Asbestos Investigator Certification.
• Must have strong knowledge of NYC rules and regulations as well as NYS,
• Ability to comprehend/review construction drawings, knowledge of building components
• Working knowledge of Excel/Word
• Strong technical writing skills, the ability to successfully multi-task, safety awareness, and a good record and understanding of safe work practices
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred
• Valid driver's license & good driving record are required.

Desired Certifications:

• OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety and Health Training
