Job summary

UF Health Jacksonville Hospital seeks a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant to administer anesthesia for surgical, obstetric and other procedures under the Department of Anesthesia.

This Mon-Fri day-shift role offers sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for qualified candidates. It involves in-hospital care, collaborates with physicians, and supports trainee education within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree is required.
• Less than one year Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all equipment and agents for anesthesia and ensure safe operation.
• Record all events during induction, maintenance, and emergence of anesthesia with drug doses and fluids.
• Maintain physiologic homeostasis, monitor airway and ventilation, and manage anesthesia depth.
• Develop comprehensive anesthetic plans with physicians, pharmacists and staff.
• Provide 24/7 in-house coverage for emergency care and assist with discharge planning.
