Job summary

UF Health Shands Hospital seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team on a full-time basis. The role involves providing anesthesia care for surgical patients under the supervision of our anesthesiologists, collaborating with surgeons to ensure safe perioperative care, and monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures.

The position offers a 1.0 FTE schedule with shifts from 07:00 to 17:30, Monday through Friday, with comprehensive benefits including PTO,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in advanced nursing practice required.
• Current and clear Florida APRN license; certification in Basic Life Support.
• Credentialing: must meet Medical Staff Office requirements for UF Health Shands privileges.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for surgical patients under supervision of anesthesiologists.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure patient safety throughout perioperative care.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery to manage anesthesia-related care.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• A minimum of a Master’s degree in advanced nursing practice is required

• Credentialing: Must meet requirements set forth by the Medical Staff Office to obtain and retain privileges to practice as an Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist within UF Health Shands Hospital and/or the Shands UF Healthcare Network, as applicable

• Must successfully pass an AHCA Level 2 screening for this position

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current and clear license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida. Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support.
