Job Summary:

Certified Anesthesia Technologist, Cer.A.T.T., Full-Time

Your Role:

Operates the institutional Point of Care Testing monitors, the institution's cell salvaging systems, as well as operate the Rapid Infusion Systems during trauma and liver transplant procedures, or procedures in which the massive transfusion protocol is initiated with minimal guidance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of hemodynamics as it pertains to invasive line placement.
  • The responsibilities listed are a general overview of the position and additional duties may be assigned.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES

  • Anesthesiology/Anesthesia Technical Support (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate capabilities as Anesthesia Technical Support in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
  • Procedures Knowledge (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate procedures knowledge in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
  • Medical Terminology & Documentation (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate medical terminology and documentation in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
  • Equipment Maintenance (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate the ability to maintain equipment, products, or systems in practical applications of moderate difficulty.

Position Shift:

  • Full-time, Call and holiday rotations required.

Department Summary:

The Vanderbilt Department of Anesthesiology embraces the anesthesia care team approach to patient care, involving anesthesiologists and residents, certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs), student registered nurse anesthetists (SRNAs) and anesthesia technicians. The department at Vanderbilt provides anesthesia for all types of surgical procedures, including cardiac, pediatrics, vascular, trauma, neurosurgery, plastics, radiologic, and special procedures.

Anesthesia Tech Sign-On Bonus Eligibility Requirements:

  • The sign-on bonus is not applicable to current VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC in the past 12 months.

Relocation Terms:

  • Must relocate from greater than 100 miles
  • The relocation bonus is not applicable to current VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC in the past 12 months.

Required:

  • Certified Anesthesia Technologist Certification, Cer.A.T.T., is required.
