Job summary

Community Connections in Washington, DC is hiring a Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC I or CAC II) to join the clinical team delivering rehabilitation services under supervision. The role requires CAC in DC and an associate degree in health or human services with a Bachelor’s preferred.

The position is full-time and on-site at 801 Pennsylvania Ave SE, Washington, DC 20003. The team focuses on group and individual counseling, documentation for billing, and ongoing case reviews.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) in the District of Columbia.
• Associates degree in health or human services field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates rehabilitation, psycho-educational, and support groups.
• Serves as the chosen Rehabilitation Clinician as chosen by the consumer.
• Participates in the development of the ISSP and conducts ongoing reviews with consumer, family and network members.
• Completes all documentation for clinical care and billing with 100% accuracy.
• Provides one-to-one counseling as requested by the consumer.
• Participates in training relevant to position and license maintenance.
• Assists with the preparation of daily lunch for the program.
• Liaison with CSA Clinical Manager.
• Models and reinforces CC mission, values, diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Protects privacy of protected health information and HIPAA compliance.
• Completes role-specific and organizational training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

SALARY RANGE: $53,600-$80,400 (Based on experience)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) functions as part of clinical team responsible for delivering rehabilitation services to a group of consumers receiving services from the Community Connections ACT Program under the supervision of the ACT Program director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Facilitates rehabilitation, psycho-educational, and support groups.
• Serves as the chosen Rehabilitation Clinician as chosen by the consumer.
• Participates in the development of the ISSP and conduct ongoing periodic reviews, meeting with the consumer, family and/or other network members.
• Completes all documentation necessary for good clinical care and accurate billing. One hundred percent compliance is expected.
• Provides one-to-one counseling as requested by the consumer.
• Participates in training relevant to position and to the maintenance of license.
• Assists with the preparation of the program’s daily lunch.
• Liaison with CSA Clinical Manager.

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Must be aCertified Addiction Counselor (CAC) in the District of Columbia.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

• This is an essential or critical position which will require reporting to a physical work location or making visits to consumers in the community as defined by the business needs of Community Connections, Inc.
