Qualifications

• CAD certification in Texas is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, or related field is required.
• Minimum years of experience as an Activity Director or in a related field are required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement a variety of recreational activities in LTC/SNF settings.
• Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized activity plans.
• Conduct pre-activity assessments to identify needs and limitations.
• Monitor and evaluate activity effectiveness and adjust as needed.
• Maintain records of resident participation and schedules.
• Participate in resident care conferences and contribute to care plans.
