Actalent in Wallingford, CT is hiring a Certification Engineer to lead certification activities across the product lifecycle. You will coordinate with UL, CSA, TUV, Intertek, FM and other bodies, develop essential regulatory documentation, and ensure ongoing compliance for industrial sensing and instrumentation products.

The role offers collaboration with cross-functional teams, opportunities to influence certification strategy, and a clear path from concept to production release.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field.
• Minimum of 5 years in engineering with product certification/support.
• Experience interfacing with certification agencies (UL, CSA, TUV, Intertek, FM or equivalents).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead and support certification activities from planning through production release.
• Coordinate with external certification agencies and accredited labs for approvals.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for regulatory compliance and submissions.
• Support product safety, EMC, environmental and international certification standards.
• Evaluate design changes to maintain continued certification compliance.
• Participate in product qualification, prototype testing, and verification/validation.
