Job summary

LifePort is seeking a Certification Engineer I in Palm City, FL to develop and execute certification programs demonstrating compliance with regulatory and OEM standards. You will work with project teams on scope, schedule, and design details while preparing FAA documentation and supporting test activities.

This entry-level role requires up to 2 years of engineering experience, proficiency with MS Office, and familiarity with Creo/Pro-E and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering preferred.
• 0–2 years of engineering experience.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience in Creo/Pro-E and AutoCAD.
• Exposure to FAA or Military Aircraft Certification Practices a plus.
• Strong engineering mechanics knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute certification programs to demonstrate regulatory and OEM compliance.
• Communicate with project teams to identify scope, schedule, and risks.
• Develop certification test plans and reports.
• Review design changes from a certification perspective.
• Oversee test article build and conformity.
• Prepare FAA certification documentation for submissions.
• Perform static tests in lab and assist with dynamic crash testing.
• Support design optimization tasks and project planning to meet deadlines.
• May represent the company in meetings with aviation authorities.
