Job summary

Archer is seeking an administrative specialist to support the Certification team in its FAA type certification efforts. You will report to the Head of Certification and help guide the certification process across all phases, coordinating activities and maintaining paperwork.

Requirements include 5+ years in business administration, strong organization and communication, and aptitude for problem-solving and accuracy in data entry.

Qualifications

  • Accuracy and thoroughness in data entry and document prep.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support certification activities.
  • Track, review, and maintain certification documents and checklists.
  • Work with Certification Engineers and PM to maintain status reporting tools.
  • Support regulatory meetings; take notes and ensure action items are completed.
  • Assist in development and release of certification processes.
  • Assist with FAA submissions and tracking FAA acceptance.

Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

What You’ll Do:

As a member of our Certification team you will report to the Head of Certification and help guide the certification efforts for our first certified aircraft. You are the administrative support assigned to assist the certification effort through all phases of the type certification program.

  • Coordinate and support certification activities
  • Track, review, and maintain certification documents, compliance checklists, and other related paperwork
  • Work closely with Certification Engineers and Program Management to maintain Certification Status Reporting Tools
  • Support meetings with regulatory authorities; take notes, submit briefings, and ensure completion of action items
  • Assist in the development/release of Certification processes and procedures
  • Assist with communications/submissions to the FAA; track FAA acceptance
What you need:
  • 5+ years experience in business Administration
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues, troubleshoot problems, and find solutions
  • Accuracy and thoroughness in completing tasks, including data entry and document preparation
Bonus Qualifications:
  • Experience using JIRA, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides, and Sharepoint
  • Experience or knowledge of FAA Certification
  • Experience with FAA Certification
  • Experience with AI tools

Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
