Job summary

Laura’s Barn Preschool & Child Care Center in Seaside, CA is seeking a California Certificated Teacher’s Aide to support the Lead Teacher and deliver Title 5 compliant lessons in a nurturing environment.

This role requires a California Teaching Credential, a Bachelor’s in ECE/CD, at least 12 ECE units, and preschool experience. Duties include small-group work, supervision, and family communication.

Qualifications

• California Teaching Credential (Multiple Subject or Early Childhood preferred).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
• Minimum 12 ECE units required for compliance with regulations.
• Experience in a preschool or early childhood setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing Title 5-compliant lesson plans and activities.
• Work with children in small groups and one-on-one to support learning.
• Encourage positive social-emotional development and supervise safety.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment per Title 22/Title 5.

The California Certificated Teacher’s Aide at Laura’s Barn Preschool & Child Care Center plays a vital role in supporting the Lead Teacher in delivering high-quality early childhood education while ensuring compliance with Title 5 Child Care Licensing Regulations. This individual will assist in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, fostering an engaging, safe, and nurturing learning environment, and working collaboratively with staff, families, and administrators to support children’s growth and development.

Wage

$23 - $25 per hour

Benefits available after completion of 90 day probation. Medical/Dental/Vision/401K & Paid Federal Holidays/Sick Pay 48 hour accumulated annually.

• Work closely with the teaching team and administrators to maintain program quality.
• Attend staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions. Compliance & Documentation
• Assist in tracking attendance, assessments, and observations required for the Title 5 program.
• Ensure all licensing and funding requirements are met.
• Support in preparing learning materials and classroom setup.
