Job summary

Howden is seeking a Head of Certificate Operations in Charlotte, NC, to lead COI and Auto ID issuance with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance. You will set strategy, governance, and audits while driving automation and client satisfaction at scale.

You will manage managers and analysts, oversee performance dashboards, and partner with legal, compliance, and technology teams to enable future state operating models. A hybrid work arrangement supports work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or Insurance; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 8–12 years in insurance operations, shared services, or enterprise process management.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute strategy for proof of insurance issuance across business units.
• Establish governance frameworks, SLAs, and performance metrics for efficiency and compliance.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of COI and Auto ID issuance; manage capacity and KPIs.
• Lead talent strategy: hiring, training, and development of certificate operations staff.
• Drive automation and digital workflow improvements in certificate processes.
