An established industry player in healthcare is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist II to join their dynamic Operating Room team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the success of operative and invasive procedures through maintaining sterile fields, managing instruments, and supporting surgical teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical technology, with proficiency in multiple specialties. The Certified Surgical Technologist II (CST II) functions in a scrub role for operative and other invasive procedures including establishing and maintaining a sterile field, specimen handling, counts, medications/solutions, implants and instrument processing and may assist with circulating duties, as well as, participate in activities related to standards and quality improvement for the specialty and the department. In addition, serves as a preceptor and mentor, and as a specialty resource in three (3) specialties.
- Require active national Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
- Require a minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist or successful completion of Operating Room CST internship program.
- Require proficiency in three (3) or more specialty services.
- Require proficiency in first and second scrub roles.
BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
CST: Certified Surg Technologist
