Job summary

AdventHealth in Greenwood Village, CO is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Day shift team on a PRN basis. You will support providers by taking vitals, preparing rooms, and documenting encounters, while ensuring clean, stocked environments and patient comfort.

Required: High School diploma or equivalent, BLS, CMA/CMAC/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA or CMA credential, and prior medical office customer service experience preferred. EOE.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience in a medical office preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• CMA/CMAC/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA or CMA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts.
• Assists with treatments ordered by the provider under supervision.
• Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations; performs basic clerical duties.
• Orders and stocks supplies, maintains a clean and orderly environment.
• Documents provider encounters with patients, including diagnoses and prescriptions.

Job Description:

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts.
• Assists with treatments ordered by the provider under supervision.
• Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations. Performs basic clerical duties, including answering phones, maintaining records, and filing.
• Orders and stocks supplies, ensuring a clean and orderly environment.
• Documents provider encounters with patients, including diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions.
