Job Description

Certified Medical Assistants are responsible for providing assistance to providers in the direct and indirect care of Practice Management patients. Performs patient or office related duties including clinical measurements and data collection. Documents clearly and accurately in patient records. Functions as support staff to provider(s).

Pay

Based on experience, starting at $20.59

Responsibilities

• Accepts reassignment, at management's discretion, based on staffing and patient volume.
• Administers medication as directed by the provider.
• Assists providers with patient exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Maintains exam rooms and workspaces, ensuring adequate supplies, cleaning, and adhering to infection control policies.
• Sterilizes equipment and instruments as needed, following infection control regulations.
• Collects patient data such as heights, weights, vital signs, and other measurements.
• Documents data accurately and communicates patient needs to providers.
• Performs laboratory duties including phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Handles clerical tasks such as mailing results, transcribing data, and monitoring supplies.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, pharmacies, and other healthcare entities.
• Schedules diagnostic and follow-up visits.
• Travels to multiple clinics as needed, demonstrating competency across locations and specialties.

Requirements

• BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire

Compensation

Estimated Range: $20.59 - $31.91, based on experience
