The Pharmacy Solution Consultant configures, tests, and supports the Cerner Millennium Pharmacy suite, including PharmNet and Pyxis integrations, ensuring safe, optimized medication workflows.

Core Responsibilities:

Configure Cerner Pharmacy parameters: formulary builds, order sets, and user preferences, incorporating advanced PharmNet features and Pyxis interface mappings.

Develop and validate DA2 extracts to support clinical decision support, quality alerts, and custom pharmacy reporting.

Implement and manage mPages extensions for optimized pharmacist and nurse UIs.

Execute unit, integration, and UAT testing; document results and coordinate defect resolution with offshore teams.

Assist in data migration: medication catalogs, formulary lists, and historical dispense records.

Provide tier-2 go-live and post-go-live support for PharmNet and Pyxis workflows, ensuring rapid incident turnaround.

Produce and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles on order-set management and rule-engine customization.

Train pharmacy super-users on system functionality, mPages interfaces, and best practices.

Technical Skills & Certifications:

In-depth configuration experience with Cerner Millennium Pharmacy and PharmNet.

Hands-on expertise in integrating with Pyxis automated dispensing and managing order-set lifecycles.

Proficient in DA2, domain management, and mPages development.

Familiarity with Oracle/SQL for data validation and reporting.

Experience:

4–6 years of Cerner Pharmacy implementation or support, including order-set management and rule customization.

Demonstrated ability to resolve complex configuration challenges in high-customization environments.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication with clinical and technical stakeholders.
