The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Visual Arts department on the Dahlonega campus. The student assists the professor in multiple duties associated with maintaining the ceramics lab such as loading kilns, grinding and cleaning kiln shelves, pugging clay, mixing glazes, assisting in inventory, studio upkeep, and general cleaning. The student must be able to lift 75 lbs, be willing to clean, and have previous knowledge of ceramic‑related processes. The student will monitor the studio outside of classes, assist students as needed, and enforce safety and security in the lab.
