Columbia Association is seeking a part-time Ceramics - Art Center Instructor to teach ceramic classes and workshops for adults and teens, including wheel-throwing and hand-building. The role emphasizes demonstrations, hands-on projects, and fostering individual creativity.

CERAMICS - ART CENTER INSTRUCTOR

Columbia Association is seeking part-time ceramic instructors. The ceramic instructor teaches ceramic classes and workshops using demonstrations, hands-on projects and exercises; teach wheel-throwing and hand-building to adults and teens.

This candidate will also promote and encourage each student's unique expression of creativity, and provides a welcoming environment.

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, creates a welcoming and inclusive studio environment, and believes clay can build confidence, community, and connection.

Education and/or experience in ceramics is required. Teaching and/or Kiln firing experience preferred.

Candidates must be available weekdays, evenings, and/or weekends; be age 21 or older; and have previous ceramics teaching experience. Hours range from 3.5 to 10.5 hours per week.

The pay rate for this position is $35/per hour. CA offers a positive, fun work environment and a generous benefits package.
