Solid Sealing Technology, Inc. in Watervliet, NY designs and manufactures precision electrical components used in energy storage systems, MRI machines, and space research.

The Production Technician position supports ceramic manufacturing operations by setting up equipment and following SOPs. Under engineers' guidance, you will help develop and validate processes, read drawings, record steps, and contribute to continuous improvement while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical diploma required.
• Manufacturing experience is required; ceramics experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and drawings.
• Detail-oriented with good troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient with measuring equipment and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate product movement through furnace, cleaning, leak test and other processes.
• Cross-train in multiple production processes and support other departments.
• Read drawings and work instructions to determine requirements.
• Complete tasks on schedule while meeting quality standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues on equipment and fixtures; adjust as needed with precision tools.
• Assist engineers with process development and validation.
• Record work steps, rework and scrap in the computer system.
• Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction efforts.
• Keep a clean, safe, organized work area.
