Job summary

Pyrotek, Inc. is seeking a Production Associate for the second shift (1:15 pm - 9:45 pm) to perform essential manufacturing tasks in a high-temperature materials environment in Salisbury, NC.

You will handle vacuum forming, assembling, inspecting, and packaging while reading work orders and specifications to ensure quality. The role requires a High School diploma or GED and at least one year of manufacturing/machine operation experience, with forklift certification and basic math skills

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and work orders and apply mechanical skills to use required materials, supplies, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to use hand operated and power tools, and perform tasks with precision and manual dexterity.
• Basic mechanical and mathematical skills and ability to perform measurement calculations.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently perform production activities including vacuum forming operations, mixing and decanting, assembling, inspecting and packaging, and hot press and CNC operations.
• Read and interpret work orders and specifications to fabricate vacuum formed ceramic fiber insulating shapes.
• Safely and accurately set up jobs based on work order instructions and drawings/job prints.
• Thoroughly assess product quality by taking precise measurements using tape measure, calipers, micrometers, and other instruments.
• Accurately perform quality checks and notify supervision of any discrepancies.
• Record data for inspection, raw material usage, and part quantities to ensure accurate system transactions and inventory management.
