Job summary

Cormetech, Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer to ensure oven and activation areas meet throughput, yield, and uptime goals while maintaining process control and safety.

The role involves daily operations support, statistical data analysis, and leading projects across production equipment. You will collaborate with Quality, Maintenance and Development teams to optimize processes, ensure quality, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• BS degree in ceramic, chemical, mechanical, or materials engineering.
• Strong problem analysis and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent understanding of how to apply Process Control and Process Discipline concepts.
• Good organizational and work planning skills.
• Basic knowledge of statistics as it relates to data analysis and process control.
• Experience with MS Office products, esp. Excel for data analysis.
• Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience.
• Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work effectively independently and to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Ensure oven and activation processes meet throughput and quality requirements.
• Improve or optimize machine and process parameters to lower costs.
• Maintain data collection systems for materials, production, and product data.
• Monitor production metrics and address issues promptly.
• Lead troubleshooting of machine, tooling, and material issues.
• Support development of new products and processing parameters.
• Lead qualification efforts for new products, processes, or materials.
• Ensure plant standard operations are properly documented and reflect best practices.
• Build process knowledge into documentation and training systems.
• Collaborate with Development, Quality, Laboratory, Maintenance and other departments.
