Position Summary:
The Cerakote Production Painter is responsible for applying Cerakote ceramic coatings to firearm components with a high level of precision, consistency, and attention to detail. This role ensures that all coated parts meet RISE Armament’s stringent quality and aesthetic standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare firearm components for coating by cleaning, degreasing, blasting, and masking as needed.
- Mix and apply Cerakote coatings using HVLP spray equipment according to manufacturer specifications and company SOPs.
- Monitor baking and curing processes to ensure optimal finish and adhesion.
- Inspect finished products for coating thickness, uniformity, color consistency, and overall quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized paint booth and work area, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Document coating batches, material usage, and production notes.
- Communicate with production and quality teams to coordinate workflow and resolve issues.
- Perform routine maintenance on spray equipment and related tools.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in coating/painting preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in Cerakote application or industrial painting preferred (firearms industry experience a plus).
- Cerakote Certified Applicator status is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Knowledge of HVLP spray equipment and application techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to paint fumes, solvents, and other chemicals (PPE provided).
- Requires standing, bending, and repetitive hand movements.
