Job Summary: If you are interested in starting a career in the medical field, this opportunity offers hands-on training to become an ophthalmic assistant. You will work alongside experienced surgeons and optometrists, performing diagnostic tests and exams that are vital for patient care. We welcome applicants with or without prior medical experience who are eager to learn and grow in a rewarding field.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist ophthalmologists and optometrists in providing patient care through various clinical functions.
  • Take patient histories, perform procedures and tests, and prepare patients for exams.
  • Provide important medical information to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and patient education regarding treatments.
  • Conduct tonometry tests, measure visual acuity, and perform visual field tests.
  • Document medical histories and administer medications as prescribed.
  • Instruct patients on contact lens care and use.
