The Pacific Institute is a global water think tank that combines science-based thought leadership with active outreach and engagement to influence efforts in water sustainability and resilience. Our vision is to create a world where society, the economy, and the environment all have the water they need to thrive. Since 1987, we have worked with diverse groups, including corporations and communities, to develop solutions for water challenges. Our work is featured in top-tier media, and we partner with over 270 organizations including NGOs, utilities, and policymakers.
The WRC is an industry-driven, CEO-led initiative under the CEO Water Mandate, with the Pacific Institute as its secretariat. It aims to elevate the global water crisis and climate change to the top of corporate agendas, focusing on preserving freshwater resources through collective action in 100 water-stressed basins and setting ambitious resilience goals.

Reporting to the Pacific Institute President, Jason Morrison, and the Leadership Committee, the WRC CEO will lead the strategic vision and operational success of the coalition. This executive role requires leadership, partnership development, and strategic planning skills to advance WRC’s goals, including scaling impact, member engagement, and securing support.
Salary range: $190,000–$210,000, plus a $20,000 retention bonus after six months. Benefits include health and dental insurance, paid vacation, and a retirement plan. Salary specifics will be shared during the interview process.
