LeadingIT is seeking a Centralized Services Engineer in Manteno, IL to optimize MSP platforms and drive automation across RMM, PSA, backup, and security tooling. You will implement standardized configurations, build scripts, and monitor systems while reducing manual tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience administering MSP platforms (RMM/PSA, backup, endpoint protection, patching).
• Strong scripting/automation skills to reduce manual tasks.
• Knowledge of MSP tooling and service delivery workflows.
• CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+ (2/3) or equivalent certifications.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize core MSP platforms (RMM, PSA, backup, endpoints, patching).
• Standardize configurations, policies, and workflows across clients.
• Develop scripts and automation to boost efficiency.
• Monitor platform performance and proactively resolve issues.
• Maintain patching, security, and backup procedures.
• Troubleshoot complex platform/tooling issues and document solutions.
• Scale centralized tools to support consistent service delivery.
• Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and technical docs.
• Evaluate and implement tools to meet evolving needs.
• Collaborate with technical and service teams for ops improvement.

## Centralized Services EngineerManteno, IL · Full-time · Experienced#### About The PositionCentralized Services Engineer**What this role will entail:******Centralized Services Engineers play a pivotal role administering and optimizing the MSP’s core platforms and shared tooling. They manage and improve RMM, PSA, backup, endpoint protection, and patching systems while blending technical support knowledge with service delivery workflows, scripting, and automation. They retool platforms for efficiency, scale, and consistency across clients. Common platforms include ConnectWise Manage or Autotask for PSA and ConnectWise Automate, Datto RMM, or NinjaOne for RMM**Accountabilities:*** Administer and optimize core platforms, including RMM, PSA, backup, endpoint protection, and patch management.* Standardize platform configurations, policies, and workflows across clients.* Develop scripts and automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.* Monitor platform performance and proactively resolve issues.* Maintain patching, endpoint security, and backup processes.* Identify and implement improvements to systems, tools, and service delivery workflows.* Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform and tooling issues.* Integrate and scale centralized tools to support consistent service delivery.* Maintain technical documentation, scripts, and standard operating procedures.* Evaluate, implement, and maintain tools to meet evolving business needs.* Collaborate with technical and service delivery teams to improve operational effectiveness.**Indicators that this will be the role for you:*** A passion for optimizing systems, tools, and processes to improve efficiency.* Strong knowledge of MSP tools, including RMM, PSA, backup, and endpoint protection platforms.* An interest in scripting and automation to eliminate repetitive tasks.* A natural ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and find solutions.* A focus on building consistent, scalable, and reliable systems.* A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.* An appreciation for working behind the scenes to support technical teams.* A commitment to documentation, standardization, and continuous improvement.* The ability to manage multiple platforms and adapt to new technologies.* A collaborative mindset focused on improving service delivery and operational efficiency.* CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+ (at least 2/3) are required!**More about us:**At LeadingIT, our people and our culture are at the heart of everything we do.
