Looking to hire a full-time Scheduler for our Revenue Cycle team!

Additional Preferred Requirements

  • Remote Monday - Friday, 9-5:30
  • Saturday Rotation every 16 weeks, 8-12 PM
  • Training will be on-site at BJC at the Commons, up to 20 weeks, 8-4:30
  • Daily Pay!
  • Preferred experience: EPIC, Patient Registration, Call Center experience, Patient Scheduling, Insurance Verification

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

The Centralized Scheduling Representative is often the first point of contact for patients and must represent BJC with high standards of customer service, compassion, and professionalism. This role involves facilitating patient entry into BJC facilities, requiring emotional intelligence, attention to detail, and knowledge of insurance and compliance standards. Accuracy in selecting patient information from the master person index (MPI) is critical for patient safety and billing accuracy.

Responsibilities

  1. Assess and respond to patient needs with critical thinking, ensuring accurate records and scheduled services. Communicate professionally to ensure a positive patient experience, maximize reimbursements, and minimize denials.
  2. Handle hospital pre-registration and scheduling across multiple BJC systems, ensuring proper patient identification, demographic validation, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling according to orders.
  3. Understand and enforce hospital compliance with Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) and HIPAA Privacy Standards, exercising independent judgment to solve complex issues.
  4. Maintain safety awareness as this is a safety-sensitive position, requiring alertness and safe work practices.

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED
