WVU Medicine Centralized Scheduler – Access Center in the United States is responsible for scheduling, cancelling, rescheduling and registering outpatient visits and procedures across ambulatory clinics, ensuring complete patient information and timeliness.
You will support check-ins and check-outs, verify guarantor details, coordinate appointments, and communicate changes to patients and staff, with emphasis on accuracy, confidentiality, and customer service during a standard 40-hour work week.
Responsible for scheduling, cancelling, rescheduling and registering of outpatient visits and procedures for multiple ambulatory clinics, by collecting all necessary information for schedule and registration preparation.

Introduction of yourself Be accurate in entering patient information Possess the ability to keep patient information confidential Schedule appointments including patient demographics & reason for visit Insurance verification prior to appointment, if necessary Future scheduling (well visits, follow ups, etc) Basic understanding of immunization schedule and insurances Answer all incoming calls with proper greeting and direct calls to the appropriate individuals or enter EPIC telephone encounters Represent UHA East in a positive and professional manner Answer incoming questions appropriately Work together as a team Be a liaison between the Access Center and other offices Embody a positive attitude Be professional in all communication Other duties as directed Attention to details Excellent written and verbal communication
Access Center Operating Hours: Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm
Scheduled employees may start earlier than 8am or stay later than 5pm

Access Center Hub is located in Kearneysville, WV. Employees will be remote upon completion of training. Employees may be expected to return to the Access Center Hub for meetings, trainings, power/internet outages, equipment failures, etc.
Dress attire is business casual or scrubs when onsite
