Job summary

Great River Health Systems in West Burlington, IA, seeks a Telemetry Technician to monitor patient vital signs via telemetry and coordinate with the care team for timely interventions.

Shifts run 7:00pm–7:30am with every other weekend, focusing on accurate data interpretation and rapid communication of findings to nurses and physicians.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of Basic Dysrhythmia Course.
• Preferred 1–3 years of telemetry or patient monitoring experience.
• Interest in healthcare and patient data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient vital signs using telemetry equipment.
• Identify and report abnormalities in telemetry data to healthcare professionals.
• Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure appropriate patient care interventions.
• Maintain telemetry equipment and ensure its proper functioning.

Minimum Hiring Wage: From $18.89 per hour Job Details: Schedule Hours: 7:00pm - 7:30am, every other weekend Job Description: A Brief Overview Central Monitoring of telemetry data involves continuous observation and analysis of vital signs and patient data to ensure optimal patient care. Central Monitor Telemetry Technician is responsible for accurately interpreting telemetry data, promptly identifying abnormalities and coordinating with health professionals to address patient needs.

Department Specific Requirements

• Telemetry Technician will monitor and be responsible for a ratio of no more than 1:44 patients.
